Insomniac Games has launched a cinematic trailer titled “Ain’t No Hero,” highlighting Logan’s intense struggles to escape his brutal past. Marvel’s Wolverine will officially release on September 15, 2026, for PS5. Fans can already place their pre-orders directly through the PlayStation Store.
The teaser features mostly cinematic scenes without actual gameplay. Wolverine is shown fighting mercenaries and ninjas, getting struck by a train, and encountering a formidable new rival – Lady Deathstrike, a deadly cyborg featuring an adamantium skeleton and sharp finger claws.
The plot centers on Bolivar Trask kidnapping mutants, forcing Logan to rejoin Team X three years after leaving it. This globetrotting adventure spans snowy Canada, Tokyo, and the fictional island of Madripoor, alongside confirmed appearances by Jean Grey, Mystique, Sabretooth, and Omega Red.
Marvel’s Wolverine is a single-player, story-driven action game without an open world. Developed from scratch for PS5 and PS5 Pro, the title supports PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, detailed haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers on DualSense.
Pre-ordering grants early access to a classic brown suit, polished claws, one technique point, and four PlayStation avatars. A physical disc edition is also planned.
