Sony announced a price hike for monthly and quarterly PlayStation Plus subscriptions in several regions – effective May 20, 2026.

Monthly plans will cost from $10.99, €9.99, or £7.99 – while quarterly rates start at $27.99, €27.99, or £21.99. In the US – the basic PlayStation Plus Essential tier increases by $1 monthly and $3 quarterly.

Sony blamed “current market conditions” – though the company failed to specify if Extra and Premium tiers are affected. The complete list of countries remains undisclosed.

Active subscribers will avoid the hike – unless they change tiers or let the plan expire. This exemption – however – does not apply to India and Turkey.

This follows an April price bump for PS5 consoles due to economic factors – an action that triggered a class-action lawsuit from users.
