Following the launch of Halo: Campaign Evolved, Halo Studios is keeping its marketing momentum exceptionally high. During a recent one-hour livestream, developers finally unveiled the split-screen co-op mode, alongside fresh details on skulls and the challenging LASO difficulty.
While many fans believed we had already seen this feature in action, this was the official debut – and it looks spectacular. Sharing half of a screen brings back a wave of nostalgia that is deeply moving.
The horizontal layout feels natural. When combined with friendly fire accidents during play, it perfectly captures the original Halo: Combat Evolved spirit – a crucial addition, since a split-screen co-op campaign has been absent since Halo 4 in 2012.

As highlighted during the broadcast, creators can also look forward to the Machinima mode for storytelling like Red vs. Blue. Additionally, a new Halo Waypoint post outlines the specific skulls needed for LASO runs.
We conclude with a curated gallery of co-op screenshots, and we look forward to reading your thoughts on this entire presentation in the comments below.
