Assassin’s Creed community is indignant. The cult franchise is late in release again. Yesterday, January 9, Ubisoft announced disappointing news: Assassin’s Creed Shadows should be expected as early as March 20, 2025, although the release was originally planned for November 12, 2024. However, even then the game did not see the world, because the developers decided to release it on Valentine’s Day – February 14, 2025.
Marc-Alexis Côté, executive producer of the Assassin’s Creed series, disappointingly informed fans about the upcoming release, thanking everyone for their support and emphasizing that the company still needs time to make the game even more perfect.
CEO Yves Guillemot added that the new part of Assassin’s Creed needs to be improved, taking into account player feedback over the past 3 months. Journalist Jason Schreier is skeptical about the developers’ statement, interpreting it as the company’s desire to sell the game at a higher price to avoid bankruptcy. The company is still in a difficult situation, so the upcoming release of Shadows can significantly affect its future.
Let me remind you that the game is being developed for PC (namely Steam, Games Store, and Ubisoft Store), Xbox Series, and PS5.
