Resident Evil 2 Safe Codes: Full Search Guide

Password. The one on the left has the code “NED” (Neil, Elliot, David).

The one on the right lock has the code “MRG” (Martin, Rita, George).

Safe location. The action takes place in the police station. We are on the lower floor in the western office, right next to the door that connects the office to the main hall.

Code location. There is a note on the table. It contains the names of colleagues. Remember them.The initials of the colleagues will be the decryption for the safe. There are 2 locks on the safe.

Rewards. For Leon – High-Capacity Mag for Matilda, for Claire – Speed Loader for SLS 60.

Password. It says: left 9, right 15, left 7.

To open the safe, follow these steps:

1. Rotate the dial to the left (counterclockwise) and stop at 9.
2. Rotate the dial to the right (clockwise) and stop at 15.
3. Rotate the dial to the left again and pause near 7.
4. Press “confirm”.

Safe location. You are still in the police station. The safe is in the corner office on the west side, near Leon’s desk.

Code location. The code for it is in a file in the STARS office on the 2nd floor of the police station.

Rewards. Both characters will receive a hip pouch.

Password. It is the word “CAP”.

Safe location. On the 2nd floor, in the shower room, there is a locker with a combination lock.

Code location. The answer to the riddle is written on a board in the police command post between the conference room and the filing room on the 1st floor.

Rewards. Playing as Claire you will receive 3 incendiary grenades, as Leon – 3 shotgun shells.

Password. It is “DCM”.

Safe location. Police station hallway on the 3rd floor. Here you will find a safe with a combination lock.

Code location. You will need undeveloped film, which can be found at the shooting range. Find the room in the parking lot, which is located under the statue of the goddess. It can be opened with a pink key. After developing the film, you will see a photo of a lock with the combination DCM.

Rewards. Playing as Leon you will get 5 MAG ammo, as Claire – 100 MP ammo.

Password. L6-R2-L11.

Algorithm:

1. Rotate the dial to 6 to the left counterclockwise.
2. Rotate the dial to 2 to the right clockwise.
3. Turn left counterclockwise and stop at number 11.

Safe code. Go up to the waiting room on the 2nd floor and find a safe on the table.

Code location. In the confiscation report file.

Rewards. For Leon – Muzzle Brake ( Matilda), for Claire – High-Capacity Mag ( JMB Hp3).

Password. SZF

Safe location. Sewer control room.

Code location. The code for the locker is in the workers’ rest area, which is located on the upper level of the sewers. To find it, look at the Jazz Festival flyer.

Rewards. For Leon – 6 rounds for MAG, for Claire – 100 rounds for Submachine Gun.

Password. 2L-12R-8L.

Safe location. The last safe in the police station is in the middle level of the sewers, which can be accessed from the caretaker’s room.

Code location. In this case, the code does not need to be looked for in the notes – it is scratched with chalk on the right side of the safe itself.

Algorithm.

1. First, scroll the dial to the left counterclockwise and stop at number 2.
2. Then scroll to the right clockwise to number 12 and stop.
3. Scroll to the left counterclockwise and stop at number 8. Press “Confirm”.

Rewards. For Leon – Shotgun Stock (W-870), for Claire – Reinforced Frame for SLS 60.

So, we have solved all the puzzles and found the answers to all the codes for the safes in Resident Evil 2 Remake at the police station.

Warning: the combinations are all random!

Safe Location. Go up to the second floor in the police locker room in front of the shower. You will find a portable safe on the shelf, and the instructions for it are on the cabinet with towels.

Activation algorithm. Each button at the bottom is associated with one of the indicators at the top. You need to make all the indicators light up green, forming a circle. You can move strictly counterclockwise. Press the buttons at the bottom one by one and watch which indicators light up green. Remember this order or write it down. If you make a mistake with at least 1 button, you will have to start over. Look at the screenshot below. I pressed the button (it turned black) and the green indicator lit up, which corresponds to this button.

After activating the safe, you will have access to a spare key that you can use.

To do this, go down the stairs to the room where there is a shotgun. There is a computer system (similar to a vending machine) that opens the lockers with weapons. Using the key, you can get a combat knife and shotgun shells.

Code (playing as Leon): Lion – Leaf – Eagle.

Code (playing as Claire): Crown – Fire – Bird.

Reward: Lion medallion.

Statue location. The main hall, on the second floor behind the huge goddess statue.

Code location. Can be found in a notebook that was given to a policeman who was cut in half by a door (there are also codes for the Unicorn and Maiden statues).

Code (playing as Leon): Two fish –  Scorpio – Aquarius.

Code (playing as Claire): Gemini (boy and girl) – Libra – Worm.

Reward: Unicorn medallion.

Location of the statue. Second floor of the police station, in the hall behind the library.

Code (playing as Leon): Woman – Bow – Snake.

Code (playing as Claire): Ram – Harp – Bird.

Reward: Maiden medallion.

Location of the statue. The 3rd floor of the police station, in the western storage room.
