Davey Wreden, one of the creators of the game The Stanley Parable, together with the Ivy Road team, is preparing a new cozy game called Wanderstop. In a recently released trailer, the game designer talked about the backstory of the game’s creation, and also announced the release date. We are waiting for Wanderstop on March 11, 2025 on PS5.
Davey Wreden was prompted to create the game by his emotional state. The game designer said that after creating The Stanley Parable, he felt extremely tired. Davey Wreden emphasized that he felt like a squeezed lemon and did not want to deal with narratives for games anymore. Therefore, he decided to create a cozy and cute game that could bring him out of his state of melancholy. And so the game Wanderstop was born.
The main character, Alta, is a former tournament fighter who is forced to work in a cute tea shop. She makes tea and cleans the shop. However, Alta’s warlike soul wants to leave the shop and does not perceive this turn of events as a break. Usually, the main characters of such genres of games are happy to do monotonous work in a cozy house, but Alta is not like that. She longs to leave the tea shop as soon as possible and go on an adventure.
